Ina Garten is an American author of cookbooks on cooking as well as Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002, has 27 seasons until 2020. Ina began writing Nuclear energy and policy documents to the White House. Her first impression was that her job to be intellectually stimulating, however she soon lost interest, and purchased a tiny food specialty store known as Barefoot Contessa. After 18 years of making her shop a massive success she sold it, and then began writing her first book. Then, a number of cookbooks were published and she also contributed to magazine articles. Her Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. She sells many items, from the ingredients needed for cooking, to kitchenware and storage. Ina is not a student at any cookery schools or had a job in a restaurant. She has a complete self-taught. Ina's easygoing style of entertaining and her straightforward culinary style is widely known. Her most well-known recipes are Skillet with Roasted Lemon Chicken Mac and cheese Mac, Beef Bourguignon and cheese, Beatty's Chocolate Cake and Lemon Bars.
