Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has received numerous awards for her writing and design. She is a proponent of animal rights. The actress has won praise for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). In New York, she was born and brought up in an artistic family. At first she began as an assistant to photographers. In the future her work changed into directing and modeling. The first two films she appeared in her name was acknowledged and was awarded the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained fame to the world, as well an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office star of the world after only three releases. In 1972 her hand-footprints as well as her signature were inscribed at Grauman's Chinese Theater. In addition, she was a part of The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out.
